MIT Solve selects Corral for Innovation Fellowship
We’re proud to share that Corral has been named one of just six projects selected for the 2024 Indigenous Communities Fellowship, a program within the prestigious MIT Solve initiative.
Led by Dr. Elise Blasingame (Osage Nation), Corral is a platform built to help Tribal Nations track and respond to federal Tribal Consultation opportunities more effectively. Using machine learning and natural language processing, Corral parses consultation notices from hundreds of federal agency websites and centralizes them into a single, searchable platform. The goal is simple: ensure Tribes are informed and equipped to advocate for their sovereign interests—on their own terms and timelines. And federal agencies are able to avoid scheduling conflicts to increase participation in meaningful consultation.
Corral is designed to address that systemic challenge by automating information retrieval, improving access, and reinforcing Tribal self-determination in government-to-government processes.
As part of the MIT Solve cohort, Corral will receive:
A $10,000 grant to support continued development,
Access to a nine-month accelerator that connects fellows to resources, partners, and funders,
And a community of Native innovators committed to advancing Tribal well-being and sovereignty through technology.
We’re honored to join this cohort of Native-led solutions, and deeply grateful to MIT Solve for recognizing the importance of transforming consultation from a bureaucratic checkbox into a process that truly respects Tribal leadership and decision-making.
Stay tuned—big things are ahead. See the write up about Corral and the five other selected projects for the fellowship in Tribal Business News.
